I want a bigger hard drive on my computer/laptop but am unsure if besides the hard drive is there anything else I need to change video card etc..... I believe my hard drive size now is about 20GB I would like to install 160GB is there any problems I could run into when doing this ?? By the way my laptop is a dell inspiron 8000 if you need to know anything else about the computer to answer this Q let me know I will try to help out as much as possible.......

Desktop computer hard drives and laptop hard drives are different. Laptop hard drives are smaller (both in physize and in capacity) and more expensive.
If you decide to buy a new hard drive for your laptop, you should ask the store to install it for you. You also have to consider that you have no way to move the data from your old drive to your new one. Your best shot is to back everything up on CDs.

After you install a new hard drive, it is blank, so you have to install windows (or linux or whatever operating system you use) and all the software you will use.

Usually, video cards in laptops are integrated on the mother board (much like everything else) and as such they can't be upgraded. You might be able to upgrade the RAM though.
