Then look a little harder. Most companies will require it. It will be on the BACK of the card. If it is illegible, contact your credit card company for a replacement card.

Its the 3 digits on the back next to the account number -- some cards don't show the full account number on the back just the last 4 digits - on these cards it is the 3 digits next to the 4 digit number.

Depends what kind of card it is. On Visa, Mastercard, or Discover, it is last 3 digits on the back of the card (that are usually half rubbed off, which is probably why you can't see them).
If its American Express, it is 4 digits on the front of the card.
