Yes, Haliburton is laying oil lines under a $665 Billion no-bid American contract, with profits being split between Cheney and GWB. Oh, and Rumsfeld. Haliburton's CEO will be the next Emperor of Afghanistan, where he will launch a preemptive nuclear attack on Iran and will appoint Michael Jackson as Secretary of State.

Believe this to be the case. Afghanistan is on the silk route from China to Iraq. It has always been the case that Afghanistan is on the way to somewhere else. The Brits tried to build a railroad through Afghanistan in the mid-19th century and got killed for their pains. The Russians tried to take over in Afghanistan and also got killed for their pains. Who next? Even Alexander the Great go bogged down in Afghanistan! Does anyone really believe we're going to get on top of this situation? Historically the answer has to be no, but I guess we've just got to keep on trying.
