I have always been told to go to the hospital when you can't talk through the contractions. Every 20 minutes is still pretty far apart. I wouldn't call your husband until they become closer together. 10-15 minutes isn't very far away, he can get home pretty quickly if he needs to. I don't think your in labor yet, and if you are, it's very early labor.

It sounds like your body is getting ready.
Take advantage of the contractions by taking a HOT shower.
My doctor said when you get contractions, aim the HOT water on your lower back and on your chest. If it's real labor, it will intensify. If it's Braxton Hicks, you'll just be cleaner.
But, you may want to wait until someone is home with you.
And, you're contracting at the same rate for the last 3 hours.
You may continue this way for awhile OR you may drop down to every 10 minutes for 3 hours.

Sounds good...
With my labour I had excactly what you described for about 16 hours before I went into full labour. As this is your 4th though anything could happen so I suggest you get your husband to come straight away just in case!

Well, it can change in a heartbeat. I would call him now. Even if it's just the early stages, you're going to need his help in keeping you comfy and entertaining the kids(if they're still there). Congrats and I hope for a quick labor...after your hubby gets there!!!

Did your Dr. tell you when to call? Usually they say to call when they are 5 mins apart, but if you feel you are in a lot of pain then I would get to the hospital so they can check you out...If its nothing they will just send you home.....Good Luck!
