Yeah..whenever you say what comes to your mind, the politburo slaps you with a fine or puts you in jail. That's EXACTLY what is happening in our country. This whole idea of "fairness doctrine", "politically correctness" is nothing less than STALINISM!

Theophile..you're an idiot. Marxist, Leninist, Stalinists, Maoist and Castroists (and Hugo Chavezists) ALL expect you to speak "politically correct". Anyone in the USA who wants you to speak this way simply cannot handle that you are a dissenter; they want to stamp out the opposition and this is the new way to do it! It is socialist!

Now, as for the Fairness Doctrine, this is another way to stamp out freedom of speech. Kuccinich would rather have all those on the airways that he hates OFF the air, cuz its not "fair" that his side does not get their word out. It does not matter to him that Air America is not something people want to listen too.

An anology would be to have Starbucks closed down just because others cannot make as good coffee as they!

Yes, socialist hate Freedom; they can't handle it!

The early Soviets under Lenin had a political police called the Chekas. It was their job to make sure no one did or said anything that didn't conform to communistic ideals (in between atrocities, that is). Whenever political correctness is enforced, moral authority is transferred from God to the State, which is one of the goals of communism (to replace God with the state). In communist system, political correctness is supposed to replace religion. If political correctness is enforced without an explicitly communist system, it's just a form of communism by another name.

Technically, "Politically Correct" is a socialist ideal, not a communist one.

The communist version is to label you a traitor to the state, stand you up against a wall, and have you shot for making statements against the state.

Did you make that up yourself or are you just regurgitating what you heard on the radio?

What exactly do you have against the PUBLIC airwaves giving both sides of an issue?

Communists were NOT politically correct. Have you even read Marx? It's a bunch of biggoted, anti-burgeoisie propoganda.

no and the fact that you are free to speak out against it,shows we are not in danger of becoming communiist. no country has ever been or ever will be communist.

yes, political correctness was promoted as a way the USSR could solve its huge problem of internal ethnic tensions.

they wanted to erase all ethinic identies and termed the new phrase "soviet citizen" in which all were, by theory, equal.

as we have seen, it obviously didn't work.
