Not hardly, I don't believe that America would have a 9 trillion dollar deficit, and more likely the American dollar would be a force to be reckoned with. Technology wouldn't be in the hands of Communist to make weapons with, and I seriously doubt America would be in any wars.

Gore would not have prevented 9/11, but he would not have ventured into Iraq either. He would have caught Osama Bin Laden in Afghanistan by avoiding the distraction of Iraq.
Gore would have continued the negotiations with North Korea that were started under Clinton, so North Korea would not have nuclear weapons today.
The Senate would have ratified the Kyoto Treaty by now had Gore taken office in 2001. We would be much closer to finding a solution to global warming.
Without the expense of the war in Iraq and Bush's tax-giveaways to the wealthy, the United States government would not have huge deficits to worry about. The economic situtation of the country would be much more solid. There would be less unemployment.
Without Bush's efforts to privatize Social Security, that important social program would be in better shape than it is. At the very least, it would be no worse than it is today.
Seniors would enjoy lower drug prices under Gore than under Bush. Gore would have allowed Medicare officials to negotiate low prices with drug companies.
Tjhe victims of the Katrina hurricane would not have been neglected by Al Gore.
By avoiding the Iraq war, the United States would still enjoy the respect and admiration of the world it once had. We would have more friends and fewer enemies.
Gore would have funded "No Child Left Behind" and it would begin to be a reality.
Gore would not have torn up the Constitution, imprisoned supposed enemies without charge, or spied on American citizens. Everyone would have more freedom than under Bush.
The war in Iraq has increased the terrorist threat. By avoiding this war, Gore would have lowered the threat of terrorism. Resources would have been channeled into more useful programs, and fewer people would hate us.
Again, without the distraction of Iraq, Gore would have been able to devote time and resources to other pressing issues, including HIV/AIDS in Africa, relationships with Latin America, the struggle against increased drug consumption, human rights in Darfur, Third World debt, and immigration (among other things.)
Yes, the United States would be much better today had Al Gore moved into the White House in January, 2001, instead of George Bush.

Here's a great timeline in regard to the Iraq war:
http://www.nicolaibrown.com/iraq/timeline.html
In this timeline Wolfowitz is quoted as saying that the Iraqi oil assets would finance the war!! Anyone remember that???
I am not sure how things would have gone under Gore! I still haven't been anble to decide if he is a globalists as well or just working within the system to change the system?!?!
If he's a globalist 9/11 would still have happened.
If not then I don't think 9/11 would have been allowed to happen!
NORAD is highly trained and has been so for years!!!
They are expected to intercept a plane anywhere in the continental US within a matter of minutes!!!
And on the day they were truly needed---as never before---they were impotent??? P-L-E-A-S-E!!! They were told to stand down!
How members of our government who are not globalists can sit on their collective hands in just THIS instance is beyond reason!!
Let's for the sake of arguement say the government had no foreknowledge of 9/11. If Gore had been president Al Qaeda and Osama would have been hunted down and brought to justice!
Look at the intelligence reports coming out now....Al Qaeda is regrouped and resupplied and waiting for the spring to attack US forces in Afghanistan again!!
EXCELLENT!!!
Way to drop the ball there Bush&Co!!!

Yet another liberal trying to get a fellow pot-smoker in office with his propaganda. Need a remind you of the 18 billion dollar per waist of tax money that Clinton endorsed to fight the war on drugs. Talk about increasing the deficit! When will the democrats realize that putting drug using slime in jail is not effective. A simple bullet to the head is far cheaper an certainly more effective.
Moreover Bush did not declare war, nor does he have the power. The senate declared war, which means that your precious democrats supported it!

Frankly I didn't think Gore could have handled 9/11 well either. I still don't. But it is getting harder and harder to say we would be worse off if he had been president. It takes a lot to be worse then the idiocy encountered in this Iraq mess Bush got us into.
Perhaps we would be in an entirely different mess, perhaps not.

you dont even know the half of what your talking about...
massive US debt? the United States has always been in debt.. even before the Declaration Of Independence was written, we were in debt from billions of dollars in loans from France...
debt is nothing new.. so why is it suddenly such a big deal?
OH! because the Democrats want to support our troops by cutting off all of their funding and re-enforcements.. i get it!
you democrats... ALWAYS THINKING!!
foreign relations nightmares?
Before the war in Afghanistan.. the US + Afghanistan had much better relations with the Taliban... 9/11? bah, the Taliban were just saying "Hi"!!
OH, i get what your saying... Yes, instead of fighting the terrorist group, Al-Queda.. we should just be like, "Here, take what you want! Just dont HURT ME!!"
Thats how our country has survived all these years...
Under Bush, America (instead of hiding from the bad guys like Clinton tried to do with Osama Bin Laden after 1996, which allowed Osama Bin Laden grow so powerful he was able to take control of the Afghan Government..) distingushed what countries are the enemy... and successfully replaced 2 monstorous regimes with peaceful democracies...
There is still a LOT of work to be done, clearly.
Iran is still a huge threat, Russia is stilll a huge threat, and Venezuala is still a huge threat...
just forgetting about them and turning our back is not going to make their threat go away... its just going to allow them to become more of a threat... just like Osama Bin Laden when Clinton turned his back to him after he accidentally bombed an Aspirin factory in the middle east while trying to kill Osama and destroy his campground....

The right lives in a fantasy world where Bush is the only one smart enough to realize we should fight back after September 11, 2001. And fighting back against the wrong country (Iraq) is a forgivable offense.
