I need help with the way Microsoft Word opens?

It opens as microsoft word viewer everytime I save a file when I use Microsoft Word. And for some reason all of our current desktop files have converted into word.

your registry has been changed to open .doc files with viewer instead of Word. You can change this by going into tools, folder options, file types and locating doc, then change details for the DOC extension.
