Jefferson, Adams, Franklin, and someone else were on the committee to make it. signing the declaration of Independence took about a month. The Declaration of Independence explained why Americans wanted to be an independent country. the Resolution of Independence that was signed on July 2, 1776 is what declared the thirteen colonies an independent country

It was completed in 1776 by Thomas Jeffersen. It was signed by 52 delegates from the colonies. A notable signer was John Hancock who signed his name big so the King of England, George III, could read it without his glasses.

it was finished on july 4, 1776. it has 56signers. john hancock was the publisher or something like that which shows why his name is the biggest. i don't remember the rest of the facts i had to learn hope this helps
