If your friend is embarrassing to you I would talk to her in private and resolve the issue and let her make that decision. Because, if you just avoid her and shun her then it looks bad on you. She may not know what is going on is causing a problem with you. Communication is the key not throwing them away.

I dont think your being a very good friend, if shes just being herself and you're embarassed by it then maybe you should stop worrying about what other people think or stop judging her so much, or stop hanging out with her. Dont ask her to change for you.

The next time she embarresses you, tell her. Let her know that her behavior is unacceptable to you and others. Most people want to know the truth, if she can't handle it, then limit the time you hang out with her.

I think you should talk to her about this.On the long run,you're gonna have to.Tell her what she does it's unpleasant especially in public in the nicest way possible.It's all for the value of your friendship.Good luck!

you talk to her and tell her the truth. give her examples of her behaviour and how that embarasses you. try not to make her defensive but just calmy make you point and let her know how it is.
