I love making Easter Baskets, especially ones that are a little non-traditional. I keep the "spirit of the season" in the basket with a chocolate cross (Walmart always carries them), in milk or white chocolate. The movie basket is a great idea! Microwave popcorn, a new DVD, a Blockbuster gift card, a 6 pack of soda... If one of the kids is a bit older, then Starbucks bottled drinks instead of soda real make the basket "grow up". Add a jumbo box of Goobers and Rasinettes, and you've got a hit!

Hello again! I was just on about finding low cost DVDs in response to your other question.
The children, your boy friend (and because it will give them a future weekend off) may like to have you and boyfriend take them on an outing of some sort. You could get tickets or describe what will be done at a mutually convienient date, and give it to them on Easter in their baskets.
With a bit of preplanning with the parents, it might be a real bang up thing, with the date set up so tickets could be in hand, if tickets or passes are needed.

depending on their ages. but i usually make a basket with stuff like candy, toys that are age and gender appropriate. just ask them what they like to do or play with if they are young. you can also carry them to a cool movie that they have been wanting to go watch. or rent some for all of you to watch together like a good "clean" comedy. have fun

both have their advantages. If you get them something for the outdoors it will keep them busy while getting exercise. If you give them a movie night its a nice time to rewind. You could go to blockbuster, im pretty sure they have packages for movie nights. Just get like popcorn with a movie some candy etc...

When I was little I would get Barbie dolls, stuffed animals, sidewalk chalk, bubbles, and of course tons of candy.
You could try disposable cameras or something fun to have in their room, like one of those disco ball lamps or door beads.
