I am taking four AP classes next year:AP English, AP Government/Economics, AP Environomental Science, and AP Art History. Also I am planning to take a calculus course at a community college. I am applying to UCSD UCLA, and UCI. I don't want to look like I am slacking off by taking a home period, but I don't want to stress myself anymore than I have to. Please don't tell me that I am just showing off by asking this question or ask me what I think I should do because that doesn't help anyone( I really am serious with this question and I have gotten responses like these before) thank you in advance for your answer.

It is one of those things where if you will do better in your classes with a study period, take it. If it doesn't make a difference, leave it. In the end, universities aren't too caught up in whether or not you take a full course load, especially if you are taking such difficult classes.

Well, take the home period. There is nothing worse than choosing a clas that you aren't sure about. Even when your other choice is a home period. Last year, I decided to take a class instead of my only off period, and I regreted it so much. I got stressed out pretty quickly and tryed to change it to a home period. It didn't work so I had to go through the whole year with stressful weeks and no breaks in between. Don't think about what others think, think about what is best for your education.

Yes, take the study hall. With all those AP classes you will NOT look like a slacker and you can get extra work done during a school day. Then you won't be up until 3 a.m. and get only a couple hours sleep. Get as much done as you can in study hall and you can still have a little bit of life in the evening. It will NOT hurt your transcript.
