You know, that's more common than you think.
I looked it up online and there are a variety of support groups available, to help you make choices:

Are your parents pretty conservative about things like sexual orientation? You could also try talking to someone at school, such as a counsellor, but to be honest I think there will be better counsellors for that in college than in high school.

Transsexualism is a disorder that has to do with a part of a brain called the "Strya terminalis". It has a different shape then it should have. It appears very early, as early as 3 years of age.

You should try talking to a therapist. This is also a first step if you ever want to have the surgery. The therapist could also help you with your parents, perhaps you could even talk to him with your whole family. Don't expect your parents to be supportive, especially at first. Our gender roles are deeply ingrained into us, by our surroundings and by our parents form the first day of our lives. That's why talking to the therapist would do you and your parents loads of good, and in time they will learn to accept your condition.
The thing is you aren't alone, and depression and suicidal thoughts are unfortunately almost accompanying GID, so other people in your situation are experiencing it too. Find a support group, on line chat room or find support in any other way.
Sorry for the garbled answer, I wish you all the luck.

You just pick a day and a time and do it. There is no easy way to tell your parents or anyone else. They may say they don't believe you are old enough to know what you want, like most parents tell young girls who say they're in love. You know your parents and I don't. So you will know the best when it comes to what you are going to say. I do believe that you should soften it some, but not to the point of hiding the message you have to give. I wish you the very best in doing this as I know it must really be a tough thing to do. Good luck and may it all go well for you. Always be proud of who you are and what you believe in!

Definitely talk to your parents about it. Sit them down and tell them your feelings. Also, talk to a counselor. Gender issues or not, it is not good that you are having thoughts of suicide. Also, a psychiatrist can help prescribe something for your depression. But, the psychologist can refer you at this point. Please, there are ways to handle this, don't end it all. Value yourself whether you feel you should be a man or a woman. We all have something special inside regardless of our outside appearance.

I hope you don't consider this rude, but God made you the way you are for a reason, and he put you here for a reason, if you are not happy with your gender, it is some dysfunction or some unforgiveness that is making it impossible for you to be what God intended, you should try Theophostic Pryaer ministry, its a kind of theraphy that, once you have delt with the pain, you are healed, no more theraphy, no more pills, no more dysfunction, and no more pain.

i believe your best bet is to receive counseling. they will help you discover who you really are .and they can help with ways to discuss this with your parents. please keep your attitude about this positive depression can get the best of us at time like these .but you have your whole life ahead of you. you will always be discovering things about yourself you don't quite understand. and if you decide on living your life as a woman you will need the counseling as they can help you with the more difficult decisions you will need to be made. good luck in this i know i don't know you but you have my support in this if you just need to talk you can im me at the same yahoo id i use here on yahoo messenger

What would be best is if you say to them exactly what you just wrote in your question...what's better or easier than the plain and simple truth? answer: nothing.
