No way! I think he is just pressing right now. He is due for a multiple point game soon and once he gets hot, look out!

Crosby is more of a play maker than a goal scorer, his ability to control the puck and move around the offensive zone makes Pittsburgh's power play unit very dangerous not to mention the trade deadline acquisitions by the Pens have toughened them up. I can see a tight race for the Art Ross trophy between him and the Lecavalier and St. Louis combination (purely because both of them seem to score every night), but Crosby has more outlets on Pittsburgh (Malone, Recchi, Staal, Malkin, Whitney, Gonchar.. the list goes on) that can score goals 5 on 5, if he keeps feeding them the puck his point total is sure to go up. He may not be as mature as Lecavalier or St. Louis but his offensive ability is impressive, as well as his recent achievement as the youngest NHL player to score 200 points.

In the end it doesn't matter who leads then NHL in scoring, the real excitement is the race to the finish.

he will lose to one of the lightnings fowards and heres why.... he doesnt have the ability of a marty st louis are lecalvier... those two are the best one two punch in the league and setting records of there own... they compliment each other very well....what has alkin done for crosby but take some of the shine away from him.. they are a young team pittsburg and will be out in the first round... look for lecalvier and or st louis to oust him. theyhave the experience to score in bigger games as the seasons nears the end..they are to good and too talented.

No...Crosby is going to win the scoring race this year...and probably for the next eight years. Good year for Lecavalier and St. Louis though...Lecavalier will win the Maurice Richard Trophy.

Well it gets harder to score when almost everyone focuses on him. That is why he gets the assists instead of the goals. Anyway I think he still wins but I do agree that the lead is in jeopardy.

No, 9 points with about 15 games is a large head start.
If Vinny & St. Louis stay at their 1.33 PPG avg they will end up with about 20 more points each. Meaning Sid would only need about 12 points in his last 17 games.

So I would stick with Sid the kid

No. Crosby will win it.
No doubt.
Right now, they are struggling because he is such a play maker...(im not saying its his fault, there should be more but hes just that good.)
but with him in a slump so is the team,
not that i would call a loss here and a loss there a slump...well maybe..
you get what im saying.
GO PENS!
GO CROSBY!

No way. The penguins are struggling right now but look for Crosby to come out of no where and spark the team with his tremendous skating ability and passing ability.
