It really depends on the park and the various rides themselves. I've seen "large" people be able to ride lots of rides, while I've seen them also be denied their ride due to the fact that they simply were not able to be secured into the restraints properly. Like other's have said, most rides will have a "test" seat at the front of the line for you to try out, and some will even have signs posted that say what the weight limits are, but that is mostly at fairs and carnivals and not so much at amusement parks. Call the parks' customer service line and ask them for their advice. They should be able to give you an honest answer.

SUPERMAN AT SIX FLAGS GREAT ADVENTURE IS WHAT I ASSUME YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT.

The coaster at Six Flags Over Georgia was the first to be built, and it differs from the later two in that it has two parallel stations with switch tracks at the entrance and exit. The later two only have one station, but each of their trains has an extra row, and a re-engineered pretzel loop. The roller coaster track colors are red and yellow. Also, the Georgia version was built on terrain which made the ride much more exciting. The Great America and Great Adventure rides were built on flat land and had much less interaction with the ground as a result. Therefore there is noway a person that fits in the ride will fall out.

It depends on the coaster. If the harness will lock securely and safely then yes they can ride. Superman Ultimate flight at Six Flags at lease the one in GA if the harness locks into place securely then there is no chance that their weight will have it come undone. I have actually seen larger people be deined to ride Batman the Ride because the harness that goes over their head would not lock into place because their chest was too large. Their rear fit perfectly into the seat but because it would not safely lock into place they were deined to ride the ride.

I weigh 200 pounds and I have been on Rides at Hoiday world (Santa Claus Indiana) Disney World and Six Flag over Mid America along with Kings Island. I have rode on the Superman and The Bateman and don't have a problem. All rides have a weight limit.

It depends if the operator is anal or not. Sometimes they'll take the effort to try and push the bars down to make people fit, and other ones just automatically kick people off the ride.
I've seen it happen many times at parks.
Sometimes it depends how the fat's distrubuted and the kind of ride it is.
If you have a belly, and the bar goes arcross your stomach from below/above I've seen it not fit people. But other times if you have big thighs, I've seen the bar fit people then. It just depends on the ride structure.

I am overweight and have ridden all types of roller coasters at several 6 FLAGS parks, Disney, and Universal (fla and ca)

There will be a weight limit posted. make sure you and a partner do not exceed that limit. Some places will have a seat by the entrance so you can see if you fit before you go through the line.

And, you can call the park's guest services prior to going to get more info.

enjoy!

Usually when you are in line, there are signs that suggest that you should not ride the ride. The signs are like warnings if you are overweight or something
