I am of the camp that believes global warming is a natural climate change. If I am correct, then just sit back and wait for the earth to cool down.
If I am wrong and global warming is human-caused, then the way to slow it down is to cut down on green-house gas emissions.

Just a few general and easy steps that society can take to slow global warming.

- If electricity use is cut by making more efficient appliances and gadgets it will cut the burning of coal for electricity generation.
- Higher mileage cars and trucks would put a huge dent in the amount of gasoline burned.
- Higher efficiency work vehicles would further cut back the need for burning petroleum based fuels.
- Carbon Capture and Storage is a new technology that will hopefully allow humans to actually remove excess CO2 from the atmosphere, aiding the oceans and plants in ridding the air of CO2.
- The use of clean and renewable energy such as solar and wind power could easily replace the burning of coal as the primary means of electricity generation. This would remove a huge contributor to global carbon emissions.

People that deny anthropogenic climate change are more interested in maintaining the status quo than helping our species. It is sad and infuriating. There is some sketchy evidence that this is a normal warming trend, but the evidence that human activity is at least accelerating this trend is overwhelming. To deny human influence on the environment is closed minded and absurd.

There may be nothing we can do to slow it down. According to some, the sun is driving global warming.

However, if it is human pollution causing global warming, then mankind might be able to slow it down by limiting emissions into the atmosphere.

We can't. Less than one percent of human pollution causes global warming. The rest is natural, and cannot be stopped. We should just adapt to this change and stop worrying about it.
