Here is my opinion on American Idol, some of them can sing very well, but they are looking for another Celine Dion, Whitney Housten or Christina Aguilara. There are some very good musicians who have already made it big that would get rejected on that show, and another problem I have is that the contestants pretty much sell out immediately, and that is sickening. I must say Clay Aiken is no genius and will more than likely never get a chance to have creative control over his career because they own him. Also, just because you can't sing doesn't mean you can't make it in the music business, look at Lou Reed he can't sing at all! lol!

No, American Idol is so pointless. No one who wins American Idol has a very good music career. Exept for kelly clarkson.

YES! You don't think those people are watching cspan or discovery or history channels do you?.....We wouldn't be in such a mess if we rejected tripe like amer idol and all those "reality " shows and started paying attention to what's happening to this country...

Well i watched it today and all the ones i said were crap (almost all) the judges said were good so either my ears are crap or music aint what it used to be (i only 36 so aint that old)

yes, I watched it today. They are all crap. Paula Abdul has had more plastic surgery with the looks of it. At least Simon Cowell is honest and tells them that they are sh*t. LOL
