what plates were involved in the explosioin of the tambora volcano.....and what kind of volcano is it?

Mt. Tambora involves the convergence of the Eurasian plate and the Australian Plate. Mt. Tambora is considered a Strato volcano to erupts Felsic rich lavas.
Mt. Tambora's eruption in 1815 is considered one of the greatest eruption in the past 10,000 years. 1816 was considered "A year without a summer" because of the ash from the eruption blanketed the earth making sunlight penetration less effective. An estimated 71,000 people died from famine due loss of crops from the eruption. In fact, the effects of the eruption was cited in London and the U.S. at that time.
