I don't know....
When I first watched this film called 'What Dreams May Come' (1998, starring Robin Williams). I thought it was good although some bits did feel or seem a tiny bit silly.
The film is based on the 1978 novel of the same name by Richard Matheson.
It was interesting as it raised some questions for me.
Chris (Robin Williams character) died in an accident and his grieving wife could not cope with the loss of her husband so soon after the loss of their children in a previous car accident.
She goes into a deep depression and eventuallu commits suicide which lead her to a dark terrible place which I suppose was some form of hell.
So she is not able to move on into the afterlife and her husband rebels against this, but Albert (Chris's guide)claims there is no judgment, no laws; it is simply the nature of suicides.

You can NOT 'repent' for killing yourself then go ahead and do it and go to heaven ... 'repentance' is not simply saying you are sorry, it's also promising not to do it again ... but even though in the Catholic church it is 'against the rules' to kill yourself and be buried in 'sacred ground' most people who have killed themselves are buried in sacred ground because they are 'judged' to have been 'insane' at the time they killed themselves. No 'sane' person would ever kill himself ... and it's actually 'easy' to get into Heaven if you were 'insane' while you were alive, because when you are 'being judged' the 'insanity' will be GONE and the saints and God can 'judge you' by who you 'really are inside' and not on 'what you did' ... which is why you can be 'forgiven' if you kill another human being, but only if you 'repent' for doing so ... either when you are 'alive' or at that 'final judgement'.

you cant ask to be forgiven and commit a sin, but as for suicide i don't believe if someone commit suicide they are in the right mind, and no where in the bible does it was God will unforgive those that are mental ill.,,, but if you know someone that is in the debate of that i would help them seek immediate mental illness treatment,,

it is so hard for anyone to die. it couldn't have been so bad for him, live, to die so soon for he could have died a natural death, and he had so much to live for, is childern for they are up set with him and I sure god is also up set with him, if he thinks death will be better then life, he must of felt life has not been good to him expecally for his marrages did not last and his last tv show. He probably did not want to go to rehab again or jail so he felt he wanted to with his friends and family and be happy with god and he will repent and ask forgiveness before or he died and hope to be happy with his friends that died before him.

I think you will be forgiven only if you are letting yourself Die, instead of letting others die. Like a bunch load of people, or a child.

That is one of those questions to which you will never get a reliable answer, because it's all a matter of personal belief anyway. You could stop a hundred strangers on the street and ask them the same question, and get a hundred different answers. Only thing to do....... think about it and decide for yourself what you want to believe. Your guess is going to be as good as anybody else's, because ALL opinions are pure guesses.

If you commit suicide - you can't go anywhere - your dead !
So you'll either be buried or cremated.
**If you kill another human being, you'll not be forgiven by the relatives !

I don't know, they say God, forgives everyone. How can you forgive someone, who kills, especially babies and children, who can't fight back.
