How about making some "gift tokens" like a voucher that entitles mum to a cup of tea made by you, or a scented bath with candles made by you or a day off the house work, little things like all put into a little book of vouchers which she can use whenever she wants. Doesn't cost much just time and thought.

Hi guys!

I’ve already found the gift for my Mum and I just wanted to share my gift idea with you.
It is a Turd figurine of Sh*t Hot, just to tell her in a funny way that she’s the best Mum ever!
It’s original (it makes change from flowers and chocolates), funny and just £8.
You’ve just have to go to www.theturds.com in the buy online section and in special offers.

Hope this will help!

When my mum was alive, it was never a struggle. I first asked what she really could use or wanted. She was good at naming things in my budget. I would buy one or two, plus a couple little things, and follow with a nice meal and special times reflecting to her the love and support she had given me over the years.

My Mother is mentally disabled and is living on State income, so I always get her shoes, clothing, perfume, jewelry, or whatever else she needs but can't buy herself. This year I am giving her a bracelet that says "Mom" and a pair of comfortable summer sandals.
