We are going on holiday soon and like to play cards but have got bored with the ones we know?

we like to have a game of cards while we having a few beers but we've got bored with the ones we know ie rummy , brag , etc anyone know any good games and how to play them ? thanks

cribbage, rummy, blackjack, 5card-stud, texas hold'em, hearts, bridge, go fish, bullsh, war and slap jack jump to mind with regular cards.

rules to those games can be found online and would probably make more sense then I would make explaining.

I've always liked skip bo, phase 10 and uno though. :)

I like Canasta ..... it is an old-fahioned game, very low-key and so popular at one time that they even marketed a mixture of various candies to serve at game time called "Canasta Mix."

It is played with a double deck and is for two or four players. the best thing to do is to get one of those card game rule books published by the manufacturer of your playing cards ... if they have one ..... the old one everyone used was by Hoyle, which gave rise to the expression "according to Hoyle" which meant "by the rule book" ...

I have seen packages for Canasta with the two required decks and a leaflet with all the rules; nicely packaged in a little box ...

I really miss it. I played it when I was a child with my next door neighbor who was like a second mother to me.
