Woodlice are part of the Crab species and do thrive in damp dark places, underneath stones, timber etc. the dampness must be cured and they will disappear, but you can help with dry powder 'derris dust' is a good choice and can be purchased at garden centers.

Woodlice are usually found in damp areas especially where there is timber, usually rotting. You would be wise to remove any rotten wood and the woodlice will vanish. Get rid of as many as you can when you remove the timber.

Go to a hardware shop and buy a spray which kills all forms of crawling insect or failing that use ant powder.
