If your question concerns the EXCEL program itself, please refer other answers which you have already received.
If it is a question of simultaneous use of spreadsheets of the file you are working with, however, just check the spreadsheet "labels" on the bottom of your EXCEL window with right-clicking them with your mouse. You can use them separately, copy/cut and paste items from one spreadsheet onto another, rename them e.t.c. You can practice with them freely - no hazardous events shall happen.
EXCEL itself has HELP activities - just ask help if you are not sure how to work with the spreadsheets.

In most towns there is an organisation called Learn Direct (look up in the phone book). You can go and take an excel course or any other computer courses, I think it is free. It is self learning sitting in front of the computer but if you get stuck there are people there to help. Good fun, I did one when I wanted to learn how to use Access Databases.

Wow, this is a really vague question. What are you trying to accomplish? Look at the help files within Excel, you can get plenty of help from there. You can also search for "Excel Help" from Yahoo and Google.

It is obvious from your question that you need a course and/or book -- probably both. You need to put some effort into this.
For books, used, at low prices, try www.amazon.com. I've gotten a ton of used books here, saved a bundle, and all are in excellent condition.
