What are some theories about the cause of left handedness? What do you think sounds most plausible?

I know that they are all theories, but I am curious about what they are and what your opinions are.

Left-handedness is the sign of the Devil. Even the latin for "on the left" is the root of the word sinister.

Satan did it.

A person who is lefthanded, has a brain that is right side dominant. The right side of the brain controls the majority of the decisions and movements in their body.
