Rex Ryan was prepared to lose Thomas so they will be fine. They always bounce back when they lose good defensive players. Two years after winning the Superbowl they lost pratically their entire defense and still came back next year with a whole new group of young guys and was still ranked in like the top 10. I think people are making to big of a deal of losing Thomas, sure he is a great player but he is the only guy on defense we lost. We have bigger problems and defense is the least of it. We having missing pieces on the offensive line now that Pashos has left. Ovie was our only real passing threat out of the backfield and now he is gone. We still dont have a running back and if J.Lew does come back he needs a FB in front of him to be affective. So you see defense is the last of the Ravens problems last year they lost Will Demps and then Landry came in as a rookie and was damn good. So will whoever takes Thomas's spot.

i think the ravens will do well without adalius. We may not be as dominating, but the ravens do have a very capable person replacing him. Jarret Johnson has been under the radar for the past few years, but he is versatile and he is good. Like AT, he can play middle linebacker, outside linebacker, and defensive end. Johnson has done well when he has played, so i think he will do a good job. Also, Rex Ryan is a defensive genius and we do have 10 other excellent players on defense: I don't think that losing one player is going to make that big of a difference.

I think they will still do fairly well because as said, their D is filled with Pro-Bowl caliber players, and Rex Ryan is an amazing D-Coord

However, I don't think AT is going to drop off in "big plays" as much as some writers think, because Bill Belicheck was also an amazing D-Coord and he take NOT PB caliber players on his D (besides Richard Seymour) and the Pats were the #2 D in terms of points allowed last season. Teams always are talking about worrying over their unique and crazy blitz packages (and AT is a pretty good pass-rusher)

they may have lost adalious thomas, but theyre defense had like 45 players to the pro bowl, one lost guy wont change their team. i would say the ravens will be back to the playoffs and maybe even AFC conference.

As the beneficiary of Thomas being a free agent, (Pats fan here) I think they will be still good, but less dominant on defense...My Patriots experienced the same thing last year on the other side of the ball when they let Deion Branch go to the Seahawks...It bit them in the a s s in the playoffs...

the ravens will still do good cuz adalius thomas was surrounded by an amazing defens and when he was noticed a bit more he was at the pro bowl with even better defenders so they'll still do pretty good

There Defense will not be as good as this years. I also heard that the other great LB, Ray Lewis wants out. If he leaves as well, the Ravens will suck because they barely have an offense with McNair running it.

they will do very well but not as well considering that ray lewis is on the down side and thomas was a player who could do anything
