I tested with a HPT which was negative. is this from stopping the pill? wouldn't i have my period by now? I will go to the dr but not till next week! help

A couple of possible things here...

#1. Stress. You are obviously stressed and this can make your period late.

#2. You were/are sick. Again this is stress full for your body.

#3. It can take a while for your hormones to realign themselves. Most women's cycles are naturally between 4 and 6 weeks. It can take your body up to a few months to adjust to your natural hormmone levels, your cycle could just be longer.

#4. February is a short month. You are not as late as you think yet.

#5. A pregnancy test measures the amount of hCG (hormone) in your urine. In the very early stages of pregnancy, it can be low. You should measure first thing in the morning for best results. It also can take a couple of weeks for your body to make enough of the hormone for it to show on the test.

#6. Negative results mean maybe. The only thing that pregnancy tests are good for is positive results.

Don't worry. Worry will make it worse.

girl please! I didn't get my period at all the month of February and I'm not pregnant cause my husband is snipped and I know I haven't had sex with anyone else! What I do know is that I went on vacation and I gained 10 lbs in a week! changes like that to your body so fast will cause your period to stop or not come. If you gain or lose too much too fast ... no period. If you are an overweight woman or skinny woman to begin with, you probably will have random ones. getting a shot, stopping the pill and so on is just messing up your body ... don't worry (cause stress also makes it stop) it will come back!

Yeah maybe your cycle is messed up because some pills aren't meant to be discontinued. But I'd say to be on the safe side go see your doctor to make sure it's nothing serious. Although being pregant is a nice thing.
