Nevermind, it was just early-labor contractions, I aksed my mom and she said it is in genetics, that she had the same problem with me. Thanks for the help!

It's always better to be safe than sorry. If they are happening frequently, you should go in. It could be a false alarm, but if you'd rather have her in a hospital than your living room, I'd go in to be safe. It may just be braxton hicks. Do stay hydrated though, dehydration can cause you to go into premature labor. She's within the safe range of being born healthy, so take care of yourself and her! Congratulations on a daughter! We wish you the best!

The key to real labor (so they say) is that your contractions are not erratic, they come about the same time apart, say, every 10 minutes. I have had three kids, and I thought that my Braxton hicks contraction were painful. It could be those if they seem erratic, but if they are coming every 10-15 minutes around the clock, call your doctor. It could be real labor. Have your lost your mucous plug yet? That is also a sign that labor is not far off. Also, be sure you are drinking lots of water, because dehydration will cause contractions. Relax, and trust your instincts. If it is a false alarm, it's better to be safe, anyway. Congratulations and good luck!!

This is about the time you should start having "Braxton Hicks" contractions..which can feel like the real thing but are not. It's your body's way of getting you ready for labor. But time them and if they are 4-5 mins apart or closer you need to call your doctor or go to the hospital--it could very well be early labor. And as much as they hurt --breathe through them it, will keep you calm and help ease the pain. Do not hold your breath. Remember thats your baby's oxygen too.

This could only be braxton hicks contractions. I am 24, 39 weeks pregnant with my first baby, a little girl, too. I have been having braxton hicks contractions for a few months now, and sometimes they get quite painful. Time them. If they get stronger and longer and closer together then you should go to the hospital to get checked out. Try drinking a glass of water, or moving around for a while. If they are braxton hicks, they maybe subside. Good luck, and I hope everything goes well. If you are in any kind of doubt though, go to the hospital or call your doctor.

If you know the gender you must have an OB Gyn. Call her/him and make an appt. You could be in labor if it contiues go into emergency.

Time your contracions. If they are regular intervals, then it might be labor.
