I'm not sure what party I truly identify with. I am certainly not as liberal as most of my dem friends and not as conservative as some reps. I don't believe in abortion unless it jeapordizes the life of the mother, I do believe in people's right to choose who they love inspite of their sexuality, I believe immigrants need to learn the English language and respect American gov't or go back to their own country, I believe that we should give undocumented Mexicans with children born in the United States a path to legalized residency and still find a way to secure our borders because of the economic burden of supporting them. I can go on and on but which am I, a dem or rep?

Neither. You're an independent.

I don't think it's that important to identify with one political party. I am a Republican and a Conservative. Why? Because those are my values and beliefs and regardless of who likes or dislikes them, I do not bend them for anyone.

Democrats have their values and beliefs and do not bend them for anyone.

That's the key thing that is important.

I may not agree with my Liberal brethren but I do respect their right to have their opinions. On top of that, if I were to see someone on either side of the line who compormises their integrity for the sake of "fitting in" or some other reason I would lose all respect for them.

I think that you have yourself figured out pretty well. You know what you believe and you're not afraid to voice that. Don't worry bout labeling yourself, in the end, it doesn't even matter.

God Bless

Depoetic SBC's questionare is pretty cool, I recommend it.

I should think that only fools do claim that they are either hard-core Democrats or Republicans. So many issues are involved in our lives and it would be ridiculous to belive that one can be a programmed robot to agree to every single issue each party spits out!
Every American should weigh every issue and only agree that the decision unites the American People as a whole, not separate them. The more outcasts caused by any Party, the greater the risk for unexpected crimes to happen within the nation. Foresaken people can be driven underground and all it takes is for a clever and manipulative leader within them to lead us into hellish chaos!

Sounds like you're just a good American citizen. I don't choose to identify with Reps or Dems. I'm independent and make up my own mind on the issues and I agree with you on all the points you mentioned.

I think you're a moderate Democrat. You don't sound mean enough to be Republican! Seriously, you need to look at individual candidates-not the party(we all should!) and make a decision based on what they actually believe and try to ignore nasty rhetoric.

You can read more about candidates and politics in general here-a very non-partisan site.

Choosing one party or another is like picking a seat at the theater. No matter where you sit, you still get to see the show and root for your favorite character. If you must self-label go with Independent.

You are neither. You don't fit in with libertarians or the Green party, either, for what it's worth. Call yourself an independent, and vote Democrat when in doubt. (You lean liberal on the more "important" topics.) It is still better to research candidates independently, tohugh.

Ok... As a joke, I e-mailed this to friends a while back... but it is very accurate about my own political views.

Maybe this little online test can help you better understand where your own values lie on the political spectrum.

I hope this helps!! And remember to vote every time you possibly can! Make sure your voice is always heard.

Well if you consider that Republicans don't do anything about abortion nor the border then you are left with gay rights which democrats may do something about it.So I guess one step at a time.

Its real simple.

If you are a Boy and likes Girls as opposed to other boys - you are a Democrat - otherwise you are a Republican.

If you are a Girl that likes other Girls - you may be both a Democrat as well as a Republican.
