NEVER! I have know idea why the idiots at ESPN and TSN in Canada put poker on their networks. It is not even remotly close to being considered a sport. Its as close to being a sport as is knitting is. Its a leisure (gambling activity). The most out of shape couch potatoe can play cards. I wish they would replace poker with more Lacrosse or something. Introduce North Americans to sports not native to North America like crikett.

I enjoy playing Poker just as much as i like watching it. Considering that they show poker on ESPN, I believe it could be a sport, but it would depend on how America views it.

No "activity" in which a participant can drink alcohol and/or smoke tobacco while engaged in said activity should ever be considered a "sport". This includes: poker, fishing, bowling, and hunting, among others.

No. Poker is luck, not skill. The only aspect of the game that is even close to being a skill is reading your opponent.

no beacause it doesnt take n e atheletic ability. o my god you have to be really atheletic to hold up like 5 cards

yes i think it should ...just like other sports it requires you to think before you act..and besides it is on espn .
