Dems react to Coulter's slur
.

"I was going to have a few comments on the other Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards, but it turns out you have to go into rehab if you use the word fa.gg.ot,' so I -- so kind of an impasse, can't really talk about Edwards," Ann Coulter told GOP activists attending the annual Conservative Political Action Conference on Friday.

Democrats were quick to condemn her remark.

Howard Dean, the Democratic National Committee chairman, called on Republican presidential contenders to denounce the "hate-filled" comment.

Edwards' campaign sent an e-mail to supporters calling the comment a "shameless display of bigotry."

She's just a media whore who says outrageous and offensive things to get publicity. It's not our fault that she's an idiot who looks like an ostrich with a blond wig. I have something that hateful, neurotic pig can kiss.

Ann Coulter is not a comedian she is a Political Pundit and author and should be held to the same standards as such. Doesn't matter what party you are in her contribution does not help.
She looks for the absolute most outrageous thing you can possibly say and expects everybody to trip over themselves and others to respond. All so she can be the center of attention.
Its sad...very sad

Ann Coulter is over the top - but since her use of the word is meant more in regard to Edward's hypocricy- not slurring sexual orientation- and in no way describes sexual orientation most of the time it is used - I think that the tolerant left is reallllly reaching-pretending to be offended ..when it is only democrats who think it is scandelous for a republican to be gay ..which can be seen on a host of new questions liberals post on here -AND their "tolerant" opinions of gays in general .THE REAL IRONY here is - most liberals accuse Ann Coulter of being the exact thing they now find so indignant !!! WHAT'S UP WITH THAT ?

With a capital "N" ... and what's worse, is she gets paid for spouting such venom.
She is no comedian (as if what she said was supposed to be funny). From what I've heard, the audience wasn't that impressed. When will the GOP distance themselves from this witch. She is an embarrassment.

It was a joke. You know, sort of like John Kerry's joke about uneducated people getting stuck fighting a war in Iraq. That was misunderstood, too .... right?

Hundreds of comedians say much worse things and make references 100 times worse than this statement every day. Your left-wing double standard is showing.

Typical pinko attitude. Free Speech only matters when it's YOU who are speaking right?
