Olympia; it's on the west side of the Peloponnesian peninsula.

Wiki gives the coordinates as:
37°38′0″N
21°37′0″E

That's where the famous forerunners of the Olympic Games were held in antiquity, though athletic contests were a huge part of Hellenistic society & culture all over the ancient world. Any reasonably sized city-state would have held games as an integral part of religious festivals and military training.

Ancient archeological sites around the Mediterranean and Asia Minor include stadia. And Greek art - pottery, painting, sculpture, and literature - reflects an obsession with contests of physical strength, speed, & endurance.

Athletic contests were held all over the place back then. I will assume you are referring to the Olympic games which were held once every 4 years and started in the late 8th century bc.Other famous games were held by the city of Athens and were called the Panathinean games. The city of Eleusis known as the Eleusinean Mysteries.
