FOXNEWS is fair and balanced? Since when?
What you are looking for in a news service is a reporter able and willing to ask difficult and uncomfortable questions of ANYBODY. If the questions do NOT get answered, they should get asked again until an answer IS given. FOXNEWS cannot do that to anybody on the right, and generally shouts down people on the left. Why do you think Bush granted a number of softball interviews to FOXNEWS while ignoring the rest of the press corps?
Also, anybody who asks rhetorical questions should be automatically ignored. If your news reporter asks any questions similar to Steven Colbert's Colbert Report, you're watching drivel.
Unfortunately, those two guides knock out about 90% of the news reporting on all the cable channels.
The gold standard in all news reporting around the world is still the British Broadcasting Company. Their reporting sticks to the facts, any opinion is openly called opinion, and they go into depth over the stories they report.
Let's put it this way. In Britain, there are strict laws regulating whether a report is "news" or "propoganda." FOXNEWS would not be allowed to call itself news.

Actually Bill O'Reilly states that he's an Independent. So I'm going to say Fox for the most fair and balances. Glenn Beck is pretty much to the right on things, but I like his show.

THE LAST CHANNELS YOU SHOULD BE GETTING YOUR NEWS FROM IS FOX AND CNN...
Those channels are rags...
As someone else put it....try an international channel...and even those channels should be watched while sucking on a grain of salt.
Media,, just in case people don't know yet.... Is controlled by government....You will never see the reality of war on the six o'clock news... what you will see, is what the government wants you to see.... It is really of up you, the consumer to THINK FOR YOURSELF.........

Beck isn't neutral. The most objective news program I've seen is The News Hour on PBS.
BTW, O'Rielly is not a news show. It's an hours worth of commentary. Same with Beck, same with Olbermann, same with Stewart.

Glenn Beck is neutral in that he doesn't like either party. He's not "neutral" in that he doesn't advocate for his believes.
Other than that, all news outlets except Fox are heavily biased towards the left.

This afternoon CNN carried live speeches by Obama and Clinton, giving them each about 15 minutes of free air time. Do you think they are likely to do the same thing for the Republican candidates? Another example of CNN's liberal bias.

None are neutral. Fox and CNN are Republican and NBC is Democrat. You just can't get away from either one it seems.
Just listen to the BBC in the middle of the night. You learn more than you ever will from any of the networks.

Fox News is a little right-leaning, but it's the closest to the truth that America gets. And they report actual news, not like the Today show having American Idol reject interviews and numerous segments on marriage counseling and food.

In America, almost nobody is neutral. I'd reccomend an international news service such as the BBC.

First Fox is truly fair and balanced,
CNN is also referred to as Communist News Network
ABC is fairly liberal, but CBS, and NBC are so far left its funny.
Nobody watches MSNBC so they don't count.
