How do I tell my female roommate for the last 3 years, who I have seen naked almost everyday, whose pubic hair I helped shave and given breast exams to, that I am not gay?

Sounds to me like someone needs a boost of confidence. She probably sees you this way because you've always been "just a friend" and never seemed to pose a threat. You need to be more agressive and take some risks with women. You may get rejected, but it's not like you're going to die. Be more flirty, and not in a oh "I'm just joking" way, start adding touch to conversation casually, and take a risk now and then. If you find a girl attractive talk to her. Easiest way to convince your roommate that you're not gay is to ask her to set you up with a cute friend of hers, and make it known what you mean. You probably have ruined any chance of her finding you attractive or anything other than just a friend, but you can get the message across and not have her know that you're not a tool.

That relationship is beyond weird. Roommates do not behave that way with other roommates especially when one is male and one is female. I suspect this is all a figment of your imagination.

maybe she just missed the part that you respect her. you may not be affected with the "scene" you see almost everyday because you see her as your sister or like a family.... let her just realize that she's wrong about what she thinks about you.
