i have been told that if you give them too much variety that it can upset their stomachs, but make sure you are feeding them a good food with the ingredients that your breed needs to begin with.

your supposed to only give them one kind of food, even when switching foods you shouldn't change it all at once. like if the dog gets 2 cups of food you should give them 1 1/2 cups of their old food and 1/2 cup of their new food, then the next day make it 1 cup of each, then on the third day 1/2 cup of the old food and 1 1/2 cups of the new food.
I'm not really sure why but i think it's because different foods are made with a different variety of ingredients. it can make them sick if you keep switching.

Feeding a dog the same food is alright aslong as it's dry food or give them variety it's really up to you.

For dogs it's perfectly OK to eat always the same food, as long as it assures them a healthy and balanced meal. Of course, they like having tastier treats, but it must be only seldom done.
As a matter of fact, one typical problem that owners have, is when their dog has to change- for medical reasons- its normal diet, they don't like this at all! In this case, you have to mix gradually the previous food with the new one.

Well it all depends.You should feed it for breakfeast ,lunch,and dinner dog food.If you dont give it dog food and give it candy your pet will get sick.You probably already know that.Every once in a while you could give it some treats but not all day.Besides that your answer is yes.

Same food, over and over. Their stomach's cannot handle variety.
You can give my dog a potato chip and it farts all night. Smells like something died...

Depends who you listen to. I would feed him what I eat. We had dogs all our life and they ate our left overs and were never sick no cancer nothing. Now everything has preservatives, and they live alot less, and have cancer and awful things

dogs need stability and routine constantly changing food can lead to picky eating and even stomach problems.
