willis macgahee is INCREDIBLY overratted and injury prone. and he actually believes he's the best RB in the league....so sad

crsport24 --how can you put Adrian Peterson in top NFL backs? 1) he hasn't played an NFL down --what if he gets a career ending injury in his first pre-season snap?
2) if you mean the Bears player of the same name --he's a 3rd stringer!

1) LT no doubt future HoFer --won't type of the paragraphs of stuff I could about him

2) Larry Johnson, a great combo of size/strength and speed, but last season showed he can get worn down with the # of carries they give him (4.3 YPC compared to last year's 5.2)

3) Shaun Alexander - still one of the best, good combo of agile/power running, great vision

4) Steven Jackson - may be premature to rank him here, but he has shown he is a beastly power runner(142yds v MN's #1 run D), and a viable recieving threat as well --scary thing is he can only improve

5) this is the WC spot and I'll say Frank Gore based on what he looks to do. Runs ALOT bigger than 217lbs (based on tapes alone I'd assume he was 225-235lbs), however I have a feeling he might not be AS good w/Norv Turner no longer their O-Coord

Tiki would be 4th were he still playing (great scat back and recieving threat)

Honorable Mentions:
Willie Parker (speedy, lots of potential, needs better passing game to free him up)
Clinton Portis (injuries...will rise up if he produces more seasons like he did pre-injury)
Edge - proved he can't be AS good without good support (pass and line), but still a top talent
Deuce McAllister -- great comeback from injury (though I'm not sure if he could be the solo back)
Fred Taylor -- ^see above (except more injuries and even more doubt about being solo back)

ladainian tomlinson no doubt is #1 ther is no if's ands or buts about it

#2 larry johnson dude is a straight up beast
#3 edge james. give him a o-line and he'll drop 1700 and 18 tds with oline he is still a 1300 yard back airizona just didnt give him the oppurtunities last year
#4 shaun alexander if he stays healthy he is a force to be reckon with
#5 another if he can stay healthy clinton portis dude has more moves than justin timberlake.

for future i like ronnie brown reggie bush murice jones drew the adrian peterson coming out this year and micheal hart who should be a #1 pick next year

LT for sure
Oh and it is ShaUn Alexander and maybe he is top 5, bad year from injury/Madden Curse last year. Need to see how he bounces back

Willie Parker-come on undrafted and 1,200 2nd year(First as a starter) and almost 1,500 the next. Great numbers anyway but as an undrafted really adds to it.

Johnson is probably up there.
I'm unsure on Portis as to his career in Denver it is the system. They make every back look good. as to Maghee just don't know much about him either

In order of quality, my picks are:

LaDanian Tomlinson (San Diego)
Larry Johnson (Kansas City)
Willie Parker (Pittsburgh)
Frank Gore (San Francisco)
Clinton Portis (Washington- NOTE: This is for when and if he's healthy, the man cannot stay off the bench, when he's off, I'm glad that Betts is there to pick up the slack).

Other leaders:
Brian Westbrook (Philadeplhia)
Shawn Alexander (Seattle)
Ladell Betts (Washington)
Deuce MacAllister (New Orleans)
