They are FANTASTIC with helping with around the house issues. I had a problem with water coming onto my livingroom carpet and they fixed it quickly. PLus the work is insured for a year if the craftsman did not do it properly.

The difficult and correct way to fix is to dig down on the outside of the basement wall and reapply some type of asphalt waterproofing. The other method, more of a band-aid solution is to paint the interior of the walls with UGL Waterproofing paint (available @ most Ace stores). It goes on almost with the consistency of soupy pudding. May have to repaint with this product every couple years though to maintain waterproof characteristics.

Try a product called UGLI. It is a waterproofer. It's sold in hardware or home improvement stores. Give this a try first. I used it at my house and it took care of the problem.
If you have cracks in the foundation, then you'd want to chisel the opening wider in the shape of a reverse V. With the wider opening away from you. Then use a hydraulic concrete, like water plug and let that dry then use the waterproofing paint.

Is the leak along a crack. If so buy a fast drying cement. Zypec is a good one..it dries in about five minutes so dont mix a large batch. I put on rubber gloves and force into the crack. It will harden even if water is seeping while you are doing it. Plug the source and your basement should stay dry.

The first step is ensure that no water is running against your founsdation when it rains. Make sure all your downspouts are functioning and they dump the water far enough from the house. If any area along the foundation has water running against it or water puddling add topsoil to make the water run away.

Your ground is saturated so try running your gutter water ways away from the house, down hill of course.
