I would like to use the current laundry room as a pantry. How much would relocating the washer and dryer be to the garage - which does not have the plumbing work?

You'll need to get a quote from a plumber, and possibly an electrician. If the dryer is electric you'll need a 220V plug also.
I would think it will be over a 1000. Drain lines, gas lines (?), electrical lines, need to be added.

Depends on how you want it done, if you dont mind exposed plumbing then you can have the plumber and electrician run wires/pipes on the outside of the drywall. If you dont want exposed wires/pipes, then holes will have to be cut in the drywall or wallcovering for pipes to be run and wires fished through. I dont know code on plubing, but if you are getting inspeced for electrical, both dryer and washer have to be dedicated circuits. Dryer needs, 240V, 30 amp circuit, 10/3 wire with ground, and washer needs 120v, 20 amp, 12/2 with ground. Depending on how far away the closest water pipes, drain lines as well as the electrical panel, this could cost from 400 upwards to 1200

Ask a plumber for a quote. There will be some plumbing involved. Water inlet and water outlet.
