We have a child who has ADHD and SPD. He is wonderful during the day because he is on med's.
However at night he will not settle down, We had tried sleeping medicine and at first that worked but he got use to it and he is already on the highest dose that he can SAFELY get.
I feel very bad for our neighbors because he will keep them up most nights and they just had a new baby so I understand that they would HATE us and want to see us leave.
However now because our landlord won't kick us out due to his disability they are making things up. and we would love to find a new place but we have not found a rental home in our price range and currently we are trying to get a loan to buy a home.
Every time I try to talk to our neighbors about this they walk away.

Does anyone know of any programs that will help people caring for someone with a disability get into there own home?
Or just any company's that will get anyone into a home?

Also any tips on this matter would be helpful...Thanks

Be sure your loan officers gets you into a first time home buyers program, they will cover most of your closing costs.

No loans for disability though are available Federally.

95% of kids diagnosed (and drugged for) with adhd and its sisters, are perfectly normal kids who have raging hormones. Please get a second opinion, not prying, just friendly advice. If the kid has a vice that he is disabled, he will feel and act that way for the rest of his life.

In the 1960's 1 in 1000 kids had adhd, now its 1 in 4. I think the growth of drug companies has a little something to do with it.

Good luck!
