Until he gets to the bigs and proves himself then it is hard to say. I have seen him play several times and I will tell you he clearly is a 5 tool player with incredible potential. As long as he stays healthy and learns the nuances of the game then he possibly is the next Griffey. You cant teach those kinds of tools and athletes with his ability dont come around very often. I believe he will begin the season in AAA Toledo which says something, there arent too many 19 year olds playing at that level.

I hate to disagree with a Tiger fan, but my understanding is Maybin will be starting in AA Erie this season. (Which happens to be where I live.) I have no idea if he is the real deal, but I do know I am looking foward to finding out.

I wouldnt go that far (not yet), but yes Maybin is for real.
He'll get the start in Toledo this year (while he needs just a liitle more fine tuning)...but look for him to start the 2008 season in Center, putting Granderson in Left.
This kid is going to very exciting to watch!!!

He's too young to know for sure, but he had a great season in A ball last year considering his age (19). I think he'll start the season in AA, and will we'll know more in a year.

Before we all go putting him in the Hall of Fame, lets take a look back in history...
...to Joe Charboneau.
You never really know what you're gonna get till they get there.
