I think Garnett because he just to have bad luck and get on Minnesota, probably would be one of the worst teams ever without him. The only good player they have other than KG is Ricky Davis. But look at the Spurs, of course they can win a title even without Duncan. They got Ginobili, Parker, Bowen, plus some help from Barry and Finley. I don't ****ing care that Duncan won more MVPs, especially Finals MVPs cuz all those look at are the two teams that have a good enough roster to make the Finals, unlike KG's Wolves. Duncan is not doing as well as Garnett this year, but I'll admit it's close:
Kevin Garnett: http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/players/3007
Tim Duncan: http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/players/3173
If you only look at their awards and that sort of ****, then you probably would say Duncan, but me I'm going with KG.

Well, yeah, putting KG on the Spurs instead of Duncan would've brought titles. That's not a testament to how good KG is, that's a testament to how good the Spurs were and are.
Anyway, TD's by far the better player. He's not only the best ever at his position, he's one of the 20 overall best players in league history. Tim gets included in conversations about Wilt Chamberlain, Kareem Abdul-Jabar, Kevin McHale, while KG never gets compared to anyone except the modern players.

it is hard to answer this question cause as u have said, if KG was with SA he would have won a title or 2 and its true because of the supporting cast. since both have been in the L, Duncan has had the better support cast.
i think overall KG has the skills and ability, but Duncan does get the points very quietly out there. his game isnt flash but its reliable. in saying this though, i would have to give Duncan the nod. and the reason is this - Since Duncan has come into the L, the Spurs have been VERY successful. he is the most influential player in any sport - reason being the team has achieved so much since he has been there. based on that, i would have to give the nod to Duncan

I would rather have Tim Duncan on my team. Why doesn't KG actually go down in the low post rather than settle for jump shots? Tim Duncan is the better passer and the better defensive player.

Duncan is a better player...KG had good squads in the past and couldnt get there with them, the farthest being the year he and the twolves lost to the Lakers in the west finals...KG contends that he should stay with Minn. and have them rebuild around him rather than go somewhere else...he will be another Patrick Ewing, great career, no rings...

Tim Duncan is the better player. The Spurs wouldn't have won any titles without Duncan, and the Timberwolves would've won some with him.

Tough call, but I think KG has more talent. Duncan is good, but he doesn't have all the skills that KG has. If KG played for almost any other team he probably would have at least one championship by now.

Tim Duncan. He has more rings and championship MVP's Garnett has only gotten to the conference finals once. Tim Duncan is the greatest power forward ever. his game may be boring but he wins rings

Garnett has more individual skill talentwise, Duncan has all-round excellence plus outstanding leadership. I'ld build around Duncan.
