You should not only go to Philly to see Tutankhamun, but for the variety of things that Philly has to offer. Want to try something strange and unique, then visit the Mutter Museum, but have a strong stomach. Philly has a great museums along with historical interests. Outside of the city, you could visit the Dutch Country to see the Amish, just avoid the tourist traps and immerse yourself in the true Amish culture.
