Because it's human nature, not to mention we are taught to be that way. Just look around you no matter what you watch on t.v. there is someone judging someone else. There isn't a single person walking this Earth that doesn't judge others and if they say the don't than they probably do it without even thinking about it.

makes it easier to categorize those surrounding you ..... judging people doesn't have to be a bad thing.... for example judging that someone is smart is just that, so you might go to that one when you need help with homework or something, meanwhile someone else who you judge as corny funny or whatever is the person you want around when you just want a laugh.
