Bats and Other Animals?

Question

I was over at my friend's house and their were bats in his trees. What type of bats live in Long Island, New York particularly on the South Shore. What other type of wildlife lives there, too. Thanks.

Little brown bats, big brown bats, and silver-haired bats all live in NY state. There may be other species as well.
