You should try to stay away from sick people if at all possible.
For me, I work in a pharmacy, so I had to be around sick people for my first 6 months of pregnancy, I ended up getting a nasty virus that didn't go away for over 3 weeks, it turned into bronchitis and pneumonia and put a lot of stress on me and my baby. I had to be taken off of work to avoid pre-term labor.
So no matter how far along you are, its just best to stay away, because you don't know what kind of virus they may have and your medicinal options are completely limited, especially in your first trimester.

I think you should try to do all you can to not be with sick people. Your baby will be fine but he might all his life have problems with bronchitits and all that. It's hard if his your husband but im sure he will understand.

well try to limit your exposure as much as you can. It will not hurt the baby but it can weaken you and through that you can then weaken the baby.
