Conservatives are the playthings of the rich. They're like little wind-up dolls that say and do just what they're supposed to, so that the wealthy can be amused and affirmed.
Their place in the general public is as support for an elite class of people who depend on them, while despising them. The rich may hate liberals, but they must at least respect them for knowing what's actually going on. But for conservatives...well... they don't even have that much to redeem them.

Well, there are many reasons conservatives are still around, and in big numbers. The saying goes: A youth that is not liberal is heartless, and an experienced man who is not conservative is brainless. Liberals strive off the idea that America is stupid, and this pisses off many of them. THey want higher taxes because "people are too stupid to spend their own money. Let us spend it for you". Liberals are also for the separation of church and state (which is not stated in the constitution), and a large percentage of Americans are very religious. The cons keep the working man on their side because they want lower taxes, which will ease their lifestyles. The conservatives also want more of a free market system with less government interference, which keeps big businesses on their side. The liberal's claim that the "more educated" tend to be liberal, when the more educated (and richer) population want LESS taxes, and therefore are conservative. The problem is liberals want to raise taxes on the rich and not on the poor. Equal tax % for all is the way to go. Rich will still pay more taxes (dollar wise) than the poor. The tax issue and the religion is the reason conservatives are the best today.

Because not everyone has been brainwashed by the ******* in Hollywood and Bigmedia.
Because some people still know how to read, and have read the Constitution.
Because some people are willing to take responsibility for themselves, instead of asking government to take care of them.
Because not everyone has swallowed the propaganda fed to them in government-run schools.
Because there are still citizens who understand what citizenship means.
Because it is in our best interest to take care of ourselves, and not run to big brother government
Because the people who work for a living (as oppsed to whining for more handouts) are conservative - we want to conserve what we have, and not give it away to those who think we don't know what to do with our own money.
Need any more reasons? How about because big businesses donate more money to the DemonRat party than to the Republicans.

Amazing. Just about ALL of what you said is 100% false. If anything it's the DEMOCRATS that hurt the people of this country. They expect you to work and pay higher taxes so that they can offer more benefits to the poor and under privalaged in exchange for votes! It's their way of keeping people poor and dependent on them! If you were SMART you would vote republican, save for your own retirement, buy your own health insurance, and WORK for a living to support yourself!

Because the people that own the means for production also provide (most often good paying) jobs. And those who have those good paying jobs also realize that its mostly due to Republicans that they do not have to give up to 79% of their paycheck(the top tax rate before Reagan's tax fairness act) to the Government.

Why would I vote liberal, when they want to give my hard earned money to some lazy schmuck whom is fully capable of working or some wh*re popping out a kid twice a year to get more welfare money to go buy crack! Especially when these liberal politicians claim to want to close the rich/poor gap, yet they live in multi-million dollar homes and live extravagant lifestyles. They'll bridge the gap alright, as long as it's someone elses money.

Be careful, liberal, your heart is bleeding all over the place....the best quote I ever heard was "If you're not a liberal before you reach 30 you don't have a heart, if you are a liberal after you reach 30 you don't have a brain"...Nuff said. Now march back to the Kibutz you Pinko!

Oh, so your OPINION is that they are misguided. Wow, didn't know your opinion held so much weight and validity. Maybe we shouldn't call it opinion anymore. When it comes out of your mouth, we'll just call it fact and acept it as gospel.
I'll have to keep that in mind...
