take hot baths and stretch right after. Stretching is good, but after the hot bath, you're all relaxed. It works for most cheerleaders.

Stand beside a wall. Lift the outside leg as high as you can and have a friend hold your ankle and lift some more. This will stretch your muscles until you can do the splits.

you have to stretch every day for a half an hour - guaranteed it will help.
