No, coffee can't start labor. If you are trying to go into labor (of course full term) there is walking, sex and other things that could jump start the labor process. If you are afraid because you think it could start labor, there is no need to worry. 2 cups of coffee is okay in pregnancy and some people drink much more than that (though not suggested). It is the caffeine in there they worry about and most doctors will tell you it is okay to have a few cups of coffee daily. Caffeine will not jump start contractions, but it is healthier for you if you do not overdo the caffeine.

Coffee can cause dehydration, dehydration can cause contractions (usually non-productive) and being dehydrated is bad for you and baby.
Too much coffee also give some people the runs, anything that gives you the runs can irritate the uterus and cause contractions, which may turn into real labout if you are close.
Other than that I do not believe so, but I don't know everthing. If you are going to try it drink a glass of water for each glass of coffee.

I pretty sure that they don't. But, if you're pregnant you shouldnt be drinking too much coffee anyway. Its proven that it causes low birth weight in new borns.
