My gender is always a disadvantage when it comes to car repairs. The mechanics either try to B.S. me, or talk to me like I don't know what the hell a gas pedal is!. When I bring my car in, I already know exactly what's wrong with it because I've researched it or already asked someone else. The only reason I bring it where I do is because my car is still under warranty and I need to take it to the dealership to maintain the warranty.

I will admit that car dealers think women are suckers...and sadly they're right. Women are not that interested in cars, generally, and people take advantage of that.

So--if I'm getting a new car I take my husband with me. He knows how to deal with them better.

Another thing that happened to me--one time I was getting my oil changed, and I had a dinky little Ford Festiva. When it was done the guy said that they also added power steering fluid...I said, thanks, but my car doesn't have power steering! His jaw dropped! LOL

Now I am very anti-feminism but I do not believe that women should not educate themselves, because you have these people out there. If you don't know something, don't be afraid to enlist someone's help!

My friend Rachel and I were on cafeteria duty at my school along with two guys. The guys were just standing around, not doing anything while Rachel and I were sweeping away. When we asked why they weren't doing anything, they said, "Hey, you're the ones who are supposed to be cleaning. Don't you do this kind of stuff everyday anyway? Boys should be outside playing soccer, not stuffed up in some room with ugmoes." Guys can be such losers.

Of course. It happens to us every day. To everyone. Even in the smallest ways.

When you are pregnant and people help you pick things up in the grocery store.

Or when the person interviewing you for a job is of the opposite sex, it can go either way from there.

It happens to women AND men...all time.

For instance....I think men are nothing, if not ABUSED, in some cases when it comes to parental rights and child support.
