I was thinking about getting a job as a stripper to help with college costs. Does this make me a bad person? Does it matter if you haven't had any experience? How are you supposed to learn all the things that they do? Any advice or anyone that has done this before would be appreciated. It's not like I have a pole in my bedroom to practice with. I know they buy the clothes to strip in but from where? Do you have audition first in front of the customers? I don't want to look like an *** because I don't know what to do. Thanks for the help :o)

I would consider trying for other jobs before you resort to stripping. It would make you look like a s*lut, even though you are trying to pay for college. Look for other job opportunitys first. It's pretty easy to get a good job if you look sincere.

I dont really have answers to all of your questions but i just wanted to say that you should definitely take some dancing lessons like even buying one of those strip exercising dvd's so you can get a feel for it. You shouldn't feel bad about doing it if its what you want to do for now. Its a great way to make a lot of money for not a lot of work and its not like you are planning on making a career out of it. When you do graduate and are trying to get another job you dont have to put it on your resume. Also you have to decide what kind of work you want to be doing. Do you want to work in a club if so what kind of club. Some can be pretty clean. Do you want to work for parties. You go to different locations for bachelor parties and such which can be a little more dangerous but you definitely make more money and you have a much more flexible schedule. It doesnt matter if you have experience. It definitely helps but if you are attractive and can move well its a very easy thing to learn. You can buy the clothes anywhere. It depends on where you live what kind of options you have but once you get hired somewhere there will be plenty of girls there to give you advice. If your really interested you should go to a strip club some night and observe for a while and maybe talk to some girls or managers about the hiring process.

i suppose it all depends on where you plan to be working.

alot of places offer classes to the public as an aerobics type deal. try that and see if its something you think you could do.

also you have to decide what kind of stripper you would be.. if you're going to work at a fully nude club, you will definately make a bad reputation. again it all depends on where you live. Here in vegas, it is a little more accepted since there are SO many strip clubs and there is more of a variety of them, so there can be a good club, a bad club, a dirty club, a classy club, etc. Also, i think they get a little more respect out here becuase they really do make a TON of money. I mean, if i could take my shirt off and make 6 times my current salary... I'd probably consider it..

Another option for those who have the stripper physique but want a wee bit more socially acceptable job, you could try gettinga job as a gogo dancer.. again.. not sure how big this is in your area.. less money obviously.. but its an idea.

paying for college is paying for college.. just remember you need to put work experience on your resume later. and some people can be VERY unaccepting of this as a profession.

also keep in mind the environement you will be working in.. will this disract from your school work?
