I keep hearing that "Republcians only use facts and don't have to resort to name calling"... heard it twice in the past two days on here, in fact...
yet Coulter, a clear leader in the Republican party who has sold millions of books to Republcians, is calling names?

hahaha... I see generalizations about all liberals based on the actions of 20 at a university when they are interupting someone's free speech...
but oh, my generalization based on an author who sells millions of books to conservatives about her possibly representing conservative thought is "bad"...
and I didn't say anything "hatefull" at all... just asking why she's calling names when Repubicans say they are against that type of thing?

Ann Coulter is clear about her intent to specifically oppose the part of the liberal movement that is centered around name-callng, slander, and libel. She is open about her intentions and her methods. Why do you have to generalize Republicans as a bunch of Ann Coulters when she specifically differentiates?

To term Ann Coulter a leader in the Republican party is like saying Mickey Mouse is a leader in the Democratic party. The truth is because that is what Coulter does. Think of her as sort of a right wing Micheal Moore and you get the general idea. I remember Pres Clinton saying some unkind and ungentlemanly things while he was in office, so what? Ann Coulter only cares about selling her insipid books and promoting her lifestyle. Don't read more than that into anything she does or says.

Ann Coulter did not directly call Edwards a fa66ot. I understand that many demoncrats only read headlines which is why they actually believe that humans are causing an unusual warmning of the earth but if you read/or listen to the actual comments you will see that the extreme left media created a headline out of a few words to generate a negative buzz about a Republican.
Again, Coulter did not directly call Edwards a fa66ot she simply said that she had nothing to say about him.
P.S. - I am very much irritated that Yahoo! is censoring a correct description like fa660t. It is a shame that the HomoNAZI movement has infected so much of the country and if Christians do not stand up and fight for themselves (I.E. stop voting for Demoncrat candidtates) they very well may find themselves in idealogical internment camps.

A leader in the Republican Party? Did I miss something? What title does she hold? Here I though she was just a radio/TV personality
much like Al Franken, Bill Maher and Michael Moore. I wasn't aware she had been hired by the republican party.
Last I checked, she can say, as a citizen, pretty much whatever she wants, regarless of what her beliefs are.
To call her a "leader" in the republican party is false, baseless and like most liberal arguments, irrelevant and untrue.
Oh, and like you said, millions buy her books and she is filthy rich, so obviously her opinion means something to someone. Anyone here from Fanken or moore of late? Bill Maher who?

Sweetie, you're not getting it. Let me try to explain this.
Ann Coulter is essentially a comedian. Yes, she has tons of degrees, an incredible amount of experience in government and law, etc. but she is using her "gift" to make people laugh. Just like any other comedian, she name-calls, makes people angry and points out the obvious in a way that makes us laugh.
The difference between the parties is that Republican comedians tend to be highly educated and richly experienced in relevant topics while Democrats have uneducated comics with lack of experience trying to be political commentators (such as Al Franken).
An example of a Republican leader might be Reagan. An example of a Democrat leader might be Clinton. But just as Michael Moore isn't a "clear leader" of the democrat party, neither is Ann Coulter a "clear leader" of the republican party.
Oh, US Theocracy is throwing around the Hitler card - a leftist with the Hitler card - SHOCKING. But Hitler wasn't a right winger, dear. He was a LEFT winger. Think of it this way - the further right you go the smaller and less powerful the government (republican, libertarian, anarchist), the further left you go (democrat, socialist, communist), the bigger and the more powerful the government is. His was a leftist socialist group.

Excellent EXCELLENT question! All Ann Coulter supporters and Republicans have a LOT of explaining to do if they continue to allow Ann to be a spokesperson for the the Republican party.
Calling a man who is married to a woman and who has children a "fa66ot" is a definite blow to the sanctimony of marriage, particularly when it is perpetrated by a very mannish looking "woman" who does not seem to fraternize with men.

Generlizing generally makes you look like an idiot! Ann Coulter is a Republican giving her opinions. She does not by any means, represent the entire Republican party NOR does she speak for them. Is Howard Dean who we should assume ALL democrats are like???

You can equate Conservatives like Ann Coulter to Liberals like Al Franken. They are not representative of the whole party or its members.

Goodness sake, study what somebody you do in contrast to says until now you spout off. It seems silly otherwise. Your opposition to her statements? advantageous! Dissent and disagreement are American and Patriotic. yet i'm a democrat and that i've got study her comments and heard them, no longer in simple terms the sound-bytes that folk feed me. She has some solid factors (and a few awful ones). do no longer talk out of lack of wisdom just to insult an entire political team that covers a million/2 the rustic. that's ill-mannered and ignorant. in case you will combat to your occasion, make a extra effective exhibiting.
