The best guard in the league this year I'd say is Acie Law IV. It's hard to argue that there is a better guard than him, although Dominic James (Marquette) is one of those guards you don't exactly hear about but is just about as good.
The best three point shooter of the year so far I'd say is Chris Lofton of Tennesse or A.J. Abrams of Texas. But a sleeper, Adam Gore of Cornell, is making 5 threes per game and shooting 50% from behind the arc.

with point guards, its hard to find a better pair than Darren Collison and Taurean Green. They're fast and deadly, and make great plays, especially off the dribble. I give Collison the edge because he has amazing defensive intensity, and leads the Pac-10 in steals. He also throws up heat-seeking, guided missiles from 3. he could hit the moon if there was enough iron on it. For shooting guards, i'm going with arron afflalo. He consistently leads his team to victory by making great, clutch plays, and shuts down the other guy with some of the best defense i have ever seen. it's unspectactular D, with not many steals, but the other guy can barely get a shot off, and Afflalo should be in the Naismith running.
